Need ideas? Here they are!

1. Family portrait. Include your mom (and her pets) in this family portrait. You may have to arrange this well in advance, so she doesn’t suspect it’s a Mother’s Day present.

2. Wall art décor with her favorite Bible verse and design. Her favorite scripture has given her strength through the years. Seeing it as wall décor with a favorite image or design will surely make her day. Visit our I’m Set Apart shop for wall art ideas and purchase that special wall art she will absolutely love. Contact us at hello@imsetapart.com if you need a customized design and Bible verse.

3. Devotional or prayer journal. These are available online or at a bookstore. We have digital designs available at our I’m Set Apart shop that you can download and print. Let us know if you want us to create a journal your mom will love!

4. Attend her church and treat her to lunch!

5. A special bouquet either from your garden or from a grocery store and arrange it yourself. Insert a card or handwritten note.

6. Clean her car inside and out, and make it smell good.

7. Organize a potluck cookout and celebrate Mother’s Day with other moms in your life.

8. Give her a nice warm hug, a kiss on the cheek, and a freshly baked good you made yourself.

9. Cook her favorite meal and hand-deliver it to her with a card or handwritten note.

10. Take her to a park and buy her favorite ice cream or dessert and have a nice long conversation.

11. Treat her to her favorite restaurant and invite someone you know she loves and hasn’t seen in a while.

More ideas if you live out of state or overseas:

12. Video call her and have your family or friends talk to her online. Show her around your house.

13. Go to a park or a popular place in your location, video call her, and show her around. Describe the history of the place and what makes it special.

14. Send her memorabilia such as an old photo of you together or of a family member. Make sure she receives it before Mother’s Day and give instructions not to open it until you call her on Mother’s Day. Greet her and talk about the gift when you call.

15. Send her printed photos of you (and your significant other) in different places where you live—at a mall, a park, on a bus, your house, living room, bedroom, backyard, etc.—and write a description on the back of each photo.

If you are running out of ideas or time, flowers are always the go-to for moms.
